The Hut Mersea Island

Beach Hut hire on Mersea Island

Supported By

Hi I am Ty

I became manager of The Hut in February 2022. I wanted to have a good job and help people to enjoy lovely days on Mersea beach. My business became very popular and I became known as Ty the Beach Hut Guy. I donated lots of free days to poorly people, and people going through tough times. The community, other organisations and charities got involved to help me give families very special memory filled days. In 2023 The Hut Mersea Island became a Community Interest Company. In the future I hope to provide more special days for families, improve access to the huts and employ other young people with disabilities.

Front Row Beach Huts

I have two beautiful front row beach huts for hire in West Mersea. Each hut has lots of lovely things so you can have a nice day.

We have tried to help make Mabel hut more accessible, We have some beach matting, a ramp and beach wheelchair. Its not a fully accessible hut but I hope it can help a few more people spend a lovely day at the hut. In the future I am hoping to improve the accessibility more.

Please get in touch with us to check availability and make sure the hut can meet your access needs.
